Home staging tip: When you furnish a home for sale you must always pay attention to the architectural features and to the functions of the areas inside the house itself in order to enhance them. For example, if the dining room has a niche, it’s always a good idea to furnish it instead of leaving it empty. The niche suggests that this is the space where a sideboard or a China cabinet should be placed, so, in a way, you have to follow the architectural rules and furnish it accordingly. In this case, we used a simple sofa table (whose rent is cheaper than a sideboard or a China cabinet) and we decorated it with a set of vases plus some wall art. Although very simple, the furniture still gives an idea about the function of the space.
