Home staging tip: Sometimes placing furniture at an angle create more space within a room. For this staging, we considered four things: how easy was the access to the patio door, how much space there was between the table and the kitchen counter, how easy was the access to the fireplace and, most importantly, the position of the chandelier that couldn’t be moved or removed and that had to be in line with the dining set. We decided not to place the table parallel to the fireplace because the space between the table and the kitchen counter would have been reduced making the kitchen look overcrowded and smaller. By simply changing the angle of the table (and by removing the red cabinet to make more room), we were able to achieve all four goals.
